Entrepreneur Struggles
“Peace of mind comes piece by piece”. I have no idea where this quote came from this week, but it landed on my desk via a post it note. Being an entrepreneur is not always rainbows and butterflies. Some days it is super fun and other days it is down right hard.
As I look back over the past years of my business I am amazed at the blessings that have come from it. The wonderful blessings of freedom, flexibility and most of all friendships. Networking and connecting with other entrepreneurs has been a true joy. It’s cliche, I know, but just the thought of others out there experiencing the same highs and lows is very comforting on the hard days.
When I look at the pieces and reflect on the worries of today versus the worries of a year ago I can definitely see how the quote “Peace of mind comes piece by piece” becomes reality. Not knowing how in the world I would ever land that first client to struggling with how am I going to get all of the work done this week is just crazy. Thinking, would this ever feel like a “real job” to putting in a full 40 hours work week. Being excited about having a little extra fun money to being able to actually contribute to our household expenses on a regular basis. I guess we need the hard days to help us remember all the pieces are there and they are coming together.
Hang in there fellow entrepreneur. When the days are hard, step back and reflect on the smallest pieces and it will give you some peace.
